Whiriwhiria kia eke panuku!
Welcome to Week 2 of Term 2. We have dived straight back into learning - persuasive arguments, pH testing, Flamingo Boy, new ChILL assignment, etc.
TEACHER UNION MEETING
A notice came out via Facebook with information about this. Teachers will be attending a meeting on Thursday 9 May at 1:30pm, that was postponed from last term. We would really appreciate it if you could pick your child/ren up at 1:00pm on this day. If this is impossible, can you please let Kathryn know by emailing her at: admin@clarkville.school.nz
Thanks for your co-operation in this important matter.
SEESAW
Over the holidays, you should have received three rubrics on Seesaw (Writing, Reading and Mathematics). This week, we have sent out a Values and Inquiry document. We will be working with these during Term 2, and any Seesaw posts coming home about these curriculum areas will refer to these rubrics/documents.
DEAR
This term, we are planning to have DEAR (drop everything and read) most days. We would appreciate if your child has a chapter book to read, in their school bag (hopefully one that they are reading at home as well).
INQUIRY
This term, we are looking at what are the best conditions for native plants to grow at Silverstream, and how we can produce native seedlings to thrive in this environment. We have already started with pH testing of different liquids, before we move onto soil.
