Hōpara Week 8 Home Communication

Kia ora, 
Welcome to Week 8.  We hope you can make it to our celebration of learning for Inquiry on Monday afternoon.  On Friday, we have our Service Assembly.  Please check your emails to see if your child is getting a certificate.

WAINUI CAMP/MATAWARA CAMP
Notices and forms have been sent home.  Please have the booklet and one sheet returned to Mrs G by Wednesday 4th December.  Many thanks. Year 6s need to have their appropriate information returned to Mrs Morrie by 6th December.

SWIMMING
The water is warm enough, and we will begin swimming daily where possible.  Can you please ensure that your child has their swimming gear each day, plus all uniform and gear named.  If your child is unable to swim, please let us know via email or note.

CELEBRATION OF LEARNING
On Monday 2 December at 1:30pm, each team will be sharing their Inquiry learning from this year.  We are looking forward to sharing our knowledge about ecosystems, native plants, soil conditions for growing plants, etc.

Welcome to Week 7.  Only 3 school weeks left until the Christmas break. We hope you are enjoying the Seesaw posts of your child's learning and reflections for the year. Your comments are appreciated on these posts.

SWIMMING

COMMUNITY CONSULTATION for STRATEGIC PLANNING
On Monday, your child will come home with a survey that requires your input for our school strategic planning going forward.  We would really appreciate you taking time to complete this and return these to school.

Welcome to Week 6.  We can't believe how fast the term is going.  You should be receiving Seesaw posts, which is a combination of this term's learning, and a reflection of the year.

PATHWAYS
Thank you for supporting your children with their pathways.  Children needed to complete at least one from each category, and attain the stars that they require for the certificate (blue/white, red/black) or medal (black/white).

Welcome to Week 5.  We had a very busy Tuesday with Zone Athletics and Kids for Kids Choir.  Both were a great success!

Week 5 will be our last week of this programme. This is part of our curriculum that gets taught each year.  Chris is taking the Year 5s and Nick is taking the Year 6s.  If you have any questions about this programme, please see the appropriate teacher.

Week 4 Home Communication

Kia ora, 
Welcome to Week 4.  Our pet show and farmer's market were great. We are certainly flying through the weeks, and we can't believe that it is Week 4 already.  We wish Pegasus athletics children the best of luck, and the choir children enjoyment of singing together with other schools.

SEXUALITY ROAD EDUCATION
Our Sexuality programme begun in Week 3.  This is part of our curriculum that gets taught each year.  The first week involved setting the scene, expectations and guidelines with the children and introductory lessons.  Chris is taking the Year 5s and Nick is taking the Year 6s.  If you have any questions about this programme, please see the appropriate teacher.
